To achieve comprehensive energy management for electrified railways, this paper proposes a compacted railway energy router (CRER) and its control method. By employing dual-phase shift control and passive control strategies, the CRER can precisely regulate the power flow distribution between the two supply arms and achieve three-phase current balance control on the primary side of the traction transformer. This effectively enhances the overall energy utilization efficiency of the railway system. Compared to traditional power regulation devices based on conventional railway power conditioners, the CRER offers a higher level of integration, enhanced modularity, and a more compact form factor. Finally, the topology and control method of the CRER are effectively validated through simulations.
