Power system is facing positive advancements: it is face shifting from a centralized arrangement to a decentralized one, primarily because of the drastic advancement of renewable energy applications, so future power system obliges new control methodologies. These systems must have the technical and volumetric efficiency in terms of grid infrastructure and smart systems to withstand new developments/requirements, for example, the unpredictable behavior of the renewable energy sources and the reliable and secure data transfer capacity for communications. Multi agent systems (MAS) have attributes that meet these prerequisites. The proposed work presents a MAS framework applied to achieve energy management in power grids using Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) Protocol. The data management is using Dynamic Cloud Control (DCC) with respect to the changes happening within the system. De-centralized MAS is proposed in the work which collects information at a cloud center and take the decisions, thus having an advantage of openness and flexibility. The MAS will communicate with the other agents and see what is happening at the all buses. Depending on the situations experienced by all the buses, the control signals are initiated by respective agents in order to optimally operate the system. The entire system is designed analytically and hardware model is completed using advanced sensor & communication modules currently available in the market.
