The necessity of taking into account the peculiarities of dynamic force connection, considering the rolling, slipping and sliding of the wheels along the lateral faces of the railheads during the simulation of the movement of rail vehicles is substantiated. The conditions for the sliding of wheels during the movement of the wheel pair along the rails in the curves on the coast, braking and in traction mode in curves are considered. Taking into account these features, we propose more precise algorithms for calculating the reactions between wheels and rails when studying the dynamics of railway vehicles. It is also proposed to use the results of dynamic tests obtained by a strain gauge wheel pair for modeling.
