In this paper photovoltaic array characteristics has been studied using a developed MATLAB/Simulink model. The developed simulation model can be used to analyze the effect of temperature, uniform and non-uniform insolation on the PV array. Mathematical equations of a single diode model are used to develop the simulation model. The model is tested for various operating conditions particularly for partial shading.
