In order to explore the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on residents' choice of bus travel, a questionnaire was issued to study the impact of the epidemic on residents' bus travel behavior and psychological changes at the micro level, and a Structural Equation Modeling of the relationship between the epidemic and residents' bus travel behavior changes was constructed. The research results indicate that the impact path of the epidemic on residents' bus behavior is “risk perception $\rightarrow$ awareness of epidemic prevention strategies $\rightarrow$ travel attitude $\rightarrow$ travel behavior”. Knowing the health status of drivers and passengers, and receiving epidemic prevention training by staff can also promote passengers to choose bus. Bus operators can enhance the attraction of bus passenger flow by adding customized buses to ensure rigid travel needs, improving the transparency of epidemic prevention measures, and other measures.
