In the aviation field, the lighting conditions in the cockpit are crucial for pilots' flight operations. Research has found that reasonable light levels and color temperature settings can effectively enhance pilots' visual recognition ability and reaction time, effectively alleviate visual fatigue, and thereby reduce the possibility of operational errors. This will further improve flight safety and reduce the rate of flight accidents caused by lighting environments. This article focuses on the design of cockpit lighting through optical simulation technology, which allows for an initial preview and verification of optical performance and visual effects in the early stages of design. Using SPEOS for optical simulation, changes can be made to the cabin light sources, cockpit layout, and interior material, color, and structure. By comparing and evaluating the brightness, illuminance, color, and contrast with relevant international standards, the design scheme of the aircraft cockpit can be optimized.
