Novel spaceborne radar constellations for surveillance will be engaged with target detection, tracking, and characterization. Each radar payload will rely on a fully polarimetric high-performance extreme computing architecture in the Ka band aimed at scanning a large volume of interest with profound implications for space situational awareness. A brief review of research findings paves the way for a high-level roadmap on future research and development endeavors.
