Electric vehicle (EV) provides a possibility for green travel, and it is more powerful and efficient than gasoline car. Through simulation the comprehensive qualities of EV can be presented before it is produced. In this paper, we propose to incorporate MATLAB/Simulink and CarSim to show both dynamics characteristic and control unit of EV. The proposed model is based on motor and battery modules, approaching the actual electric vehicle to the fullest extent. Such a platform of joint simulation can be built to ensure the accuracy and flexibility of model, which will help vehicle enterprises to reduce cost and release new product faster. At last the result of dynamic performance experiment verifies that model can perform as we wish.
