This article introduces the basic principle of turbo codes and the basic overview of satellite communication system and analyzes the feasibility of turbo codes in satellite communication and proves its unique advantages over other coding methods in satellite communication through simulation. Finally, we analyze the performance of multiple turbo codes and discuss the feasibility of their application in satellite communication by combining the previous studies and make limitations on their performance above triple turbo codes.
