The objective of this paper is to present a new multiport converter with one input and multiple outputs for CubeSat electric power system (EPS). State-of-the-art EPS utilizes multiple power converters for tracking the maximum power output of PV panels and voltage regulation of loads. This leads to utilization of multiple bulkier inductors in the CubeSat EPS and thus, increasing the converter footprint. The proposed SIMO converter integrates the PV panels, energy storage, and the dc-dc converters with a single inductor and thus, it reduces the converter footprint compared to conventional CubeSat EPS. To demonstrate the operation of the proposed converter, a simulation model is developed in MATLAB Simulink using the parameters of 1U CubeSat and it is tested both in steady-state and dynamic conditions.
