As communication and internet introduced, it creates the risk of attack on power grid. It provides unauthorized access to the control rooms. It involves sending false data or introducing communication delay, which is known as cyber-attack. To protect the grid from these threats and to maintain the constant frequency, a 2DOF-PID controller with EV integrated in the power system has been implemented in this paper. For the computation of 2 DOF-PID controller gains, a PSO (particle swarm optimization) technique has been applied, which provides the optimal value of the gains. In this research paper, the data integrity cyber-attacks have been considered on the grid. The simulation work has been performed on MATLAB/Simulink and simulation result have been validated by performing real time simulation on OPAL-RT. The results shows that 2 DOF-PID controller provides better and effective control actions against the cyber-attacks.
