Shore-based power supply technology has been widely used in port terminals to effectively reduce pollutant emissions and fossil fuel consumption while ships are in port. With the advancement of new energy power generation and power electronics technology, the marine power system is increasingly developing towards AC-DC hybrid power. Different forms of energy can be connected to the ship’s AC-DC hybrid power system via the DC bus. However, the connection of the shore power system to the marine power system via the DC bus can result in the transient characteristic changes of both power systems. This calls for an analysis of the transient process of both shore power and ship AC-DC hybrid power systems under fault disturbance and exploration of the law of mutual influence between both power systems. This paper aims to investigate the bidirectional AC-DC hybrid power system on the shore as the research subject of this study.
