The algorithm to determine the best electrode grid for the semipassive bimorph flexible mirror to reproduce a specified phase profile is described. The conducted research demonstrates the ability to decrease the number of control channels and simultaneously to improve quality of the given wavefront formation. We have shown that the use of multilayer mirrors should yield significant benefits in comparison with the conventional ones.
