In this paper, we report the use of communication-band tunable diode laser for simultaneous detection of carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO/sub 2/) in air, using multiwavelength optical-heterodyne-detected continuous-wave cavity ringdown absorption spectroscopy with a rapidly swept cavity.
