For detection, tracking and identification of time sensitive targets (TST) i.e to find, fix, track, target, and kill an enemy vehicle within minutes, Tactical Sensor Models (TSM) are utilized in the targeting phase of this process. A Tactical Sensor Model is a math model that takes known errors in a sensor and corrects for them to get a better idea of where a target is located. A TSM will work with a sensor exploitation tool (SET) via an application program interface (API). The SET displays the image for the analyst and allows for analysis of that image. The API provides the structure and definition required for the TSM and SET to communicate.
