This article deals with the establishment of a decision-making expert system for selecting a rational version for cargo safety assessment system in transportation and the justification of mathematical methods based on the requirements. Assessment of the linguistic variability of the “Safety Degree for Cargo” was carried out using the statistical method of expert information, and the rules for using Matlab packages were set up to establish membership functions.
