This paper presents a simulation study of a dc microgrid with a voltage droop controller to regulate the grid output voltage and the power sharing between the sources. A dc microgrid having three microsources and a resistive load was modeled in Matlab/Simulink. Different aspects of voltage droop and Master-Slave controller are discussed. Design of voltage droop control technique by using proportional-integral controller is explained and modification was done by using Sliding Mode control which gave faster response and better voltage regulation.
