The project on ‘toll gate management system-IOT monitoring explains, Tollgates were established to maximize the costs incurred in building and maintaining roads. The National Highways Authority of India has regulated 461 toll gate gates in India (NHAI). Of the 461 tolls, 42 are available only in Tamil Nadu. At present toll fees are not based on distance. This research work has planned to reduce the extra toll charges, by reducing its cost by calculating the distance covered by the user on highways with the help of a camera, IOT-cloud. In today's world, time and work are the most important things in life. RFID technology is used to address the critical challenges of traffic congestion and time management. The marker attached to the front window of the car is read by an RFID reader mounted on the tollgate frame. Based on the distance covered by the vehicle the value will be calculated. The amount can be found in the prepaid RFID tag. This makes tollgates accessible to the general public. RFID, Reader, and prepaid card.
