Wireless sensor networks are very popular now a days due to their wide range of applications in military, environmental monitoring and health related applications. These networks are also used for industrial and battlefield surveillance applications. Security is very important for wireless sensor networks. Sensor networks suffer from many attacks such as selective forwarding, sinkhole, Sybil, jamming, wormhole, blackhole etc. Our proposed approach is based on calculating trust value. The trust value is calculated dynamically by the monitor node. If the trust value of any node is below the threshold then it is declared as a malicious node.
