In order to ensure the UAV cluster to perform formation flight, bearings only passive location method can be used to adjust the position of UAV. This paper analyzes the different formation conditions of UAVs, gives the bearings only passive location method in unmanned formation flight, and the corresponding position adjustment strategy, and uses the idea of target separation to split the target into two sub targets to avoid the need for more UAVs to send signals when adjusting the UAV position. Because UAVs do not always fly at the same altitude in formation, and the initial position information cannot be known. Therefore, according to the characteristics of the model and the relationship between the edges and corners of adjacent UAVs, this paper constructs a greedy criterion based on the minimum number of UAVs required to transmit signals, and gives a position adjustment scheme for UAVs.
