The execution of flow strategies is a concept in which traffic flow management (TFM) - generated reroutes are addressed and transmitted to the appropriate TFM and air traffic control (ATC) operational positions in air traffic management (ATM) facilities and to airspace users' flight planning facilities. Known as the Go Button, this concept introduces the catalyst needed to fully utilize recent advances in TFM and ATC automation. The go button concept involves integrating existing and planned TFM and ATC automation and operational practices to increase the efficiency of the rerouting process.
