The ability to expeditiously develop and market new products is one of the crucial success factors in competitive environments. Creating of a prototype is the upstream position of advanced materials in the value chains of each of the industries in which it is commercialized. The most apparent benefit from commercialization is the generation of funds from user fees that can be funneled back into research and technology transfer activities. This paper examines the commercialization scheme to establish a path to market for Research and Development Team of Sebelas Maret University that has a limited capacity for creating of prototype includes infrastructure and collateral assets. The commercialization scheme can be used to facilitate the development of the body's electric vehicle SmarT. The paper draws attention to establish a methodology to design a commercialization scheme for development body's electric vehicle SmarT. The soft system methodology is utilized as an effective and efficient way of undertaking a systematic analysis of commercialization scheme.
