We report here a method to obtain the noise information on pulse width, intensity, cross-correlation of pulse width and intensity, and pulse timing jitter by comparing the noise power spectra of the fundamental and the second harmonic (SH) from a CW mode-locked laser source. The experimental results of the noise parameters of an active mode-locked Nd:LiYF/sub 4/ laser system are also presented.
