The trending technology Internet of Things (IoT) has enabled significant improvements in vehicle safety management and brings more convenience to human lives. One of the major problems people are facing now is vehicle accidents and according to World Health Organization (WHO) Road Traffic Facts, 1.24 million road accidents occur around world every year. The reasons behind these accidents are increase of number of vehicles, rash driving breaking rules and regulations of traffic system and many people are dying due to delay of emergency response after accident happens because of not getting exact location of accident spot the emergency services was fails to save lives. In this proposed method used here IoT technology in vehicles for resolving the problem, like an "Automatic Vehicle Accident Detection using IoT" this system uses limit switch (collision sensor). It is placed on four sides of vehicle to detect collision. And Micro-Electromechanical System (MEMS) sensor / Tilt sensor is placed on top of a vehicle whenever vehicle tilted this tilt sensor activates. And fire sensor is used to detect fire accident. If any of these sensors activated it sends data to Raspberry Pi Pico and it process the data collects location coordinates from satellite through GPS module. GSM module sends alert message to registered mobile number with location. It provides exact location coordinate values like 16.97°, 82.25°. By using this system it can immediately alert emergency response team to reach accident spot using location coordinates without any delay and save lives of people.
