Summary form only given. A new method using the combination of ASK and BPSK modulation is proposed. The paper shows the frame structure which is formed in this technique. As the frame alignment bit (marker), the first channel (No. 0) pulse stream is modulated by a fixed binary sequence (... 101010...) with BPSK. The modulation rate is f/sub m/, the frame frequency of the signal. Other channels (No. l/spl sim/N) carry the user data (information bits) with ASK modulation.
