In this study, a novel type of control system for the coordinated motion of dual movers is proposed, which is based on the moving magnet Permanent Magnet Synchronous Linear Motor (PMSLM). Compared with the traditional control system that adopts master-slave control or deviation coupling control algorithm, the control system proposed in this study is powered by only one power module to realize the coordinated movement of dual movers, which reduces a set of power modules. It is verified by simulation that the dual movers can move synchronously with a controllable distance.
