This paper presents design considerations for a novel soft-switching full-bridge converter with dual-phase-shift control strategy which is fit for wide output voltage range and constant power. The operational analysis shows the converter can operates in both step-up and step down mode. In step-up mode, the secondary-side phase shift control is adopted while in step-down mode, primary-side phase shift control is employed. The proposed design considerations mainly focuses on the designed operation modes and high frequency inductor which plays an important role in device stress and conversion efficiency. Respectively, a 800Watts prototype is built up to verify the theoretical analysis.
