The MONET DC Network consists of a double ring around Washington D.C., connecting six government agencies: DARPA, DIA, DISA, NASA, NRL, and NSA. No long distance link is included in this network. The network consists of two interconnected rings. The network elements on the East Ring are provided by Lucent Technologies, a member of the consortium, and those on the West Ring are provided by Tellium, an outside vendor.
