The article describes the technical solution for the construction of microwave range phase direction finding radio engineering system. The device may be used for direction finding of aircraft radio transmitters by geographic coordinates and flight altitude. The radio system contains one ground receiving station and an airborne phased direction finder, located on the unmanned aerial vehicle, which direction-indicates the target by two angularcoor-dinates. At the ground receiving point, the target is only finding by azimuth. This approach eliminates the problem of direction finding from the ground at low elevation angles. The proposal may provide an acceptable accuracy of direction finding by the phase method with small antenna sizes.
