In this paper a simple genetic algorithm is used to tuner a fuzzy controller. The genetic algorithm is used off-line in order to find the better rules by an optimization procedure. The considered plant is an experimental D.C. servosystem, and the problem control corresponds to the control of the angular position. The genetic algorithm operates with populations who correspond to consequents of the rule base.
