With the construction of ecological civilization and the proposal of the dual-carbon goal, the public’s awareness of environmental protection continues to improve, and the production and sales of electric vehicles in China continue to grow explosively, ranking first in the world for eight consecutive years. Therefore, the energy consumption of the electric vehicle has gradually become a hot social concern. This paper compares three conversion methods and results for energy consumption of electric vehicles, analyzes the energy consumption status of electric vehicles in China, including battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and evaluates the impact of different conversion methods on the corporate average fuel economy, providing methods and data basis for energy consumption management of electric vehicles.
