In this work, a virtual instrument in the LabView™ programming language is presented, which allows handling a linear three-phase power amplifier that drives an induction machine in a wide range of voltages and frequencies. In addition, this work shows the mainfeatures of virtual instruments commonly employed in research or experimental activities that involves signal generation, acquisition data and Matlab interaction. A Matlab™ script program, integrated into the virtual instrument, is used to compute reactive power, active power, apparent power and factor power from acquired voltage and current signals and the implementation of zero phase filter. Finally the instrument was tested in a 0.5 HP, 220V, 60 Hz induction machine.
