This paper presents the results of experiments to demonstrate the radar processing can be controlled by cognitive processes. A fully adaptive radar framework is introduced that emulates concepts from neuropsychology to describe cognition. The framework is implemented on an experimental test bed and used to adapt radar parameters during a single target tracking situation such that performance objects, that cannot be met with fixed parameters, are obtained.
