➢ A decision directed noise estimation (DDNE) approach to mitigating the pulsed interference from distance measuring equipment (DME) for L-band digital aeronautical communications system1 (LDACS1) is proposed. ➢ The main aim is to detect the DME interference in the received LDACS1 forward link (FL) signal at aircraft and remove it from the received signal. ➢ The proposed method removes the effect of inter-carrier interference (ICI) which is a major problem with the conventional pulse blanking method for LDACS1 system.
