Calabazas Creek Research, Inc. is funded to develop submillimeter wave backward wave oscillators for molecular spectroscopy. A 600-700 GHz device was designed, built and tested in November 2004; however, the BWO failed to perform properly. Subsequent analysis revealed several problems that were corrected in a rebuilt device. This device will be tested in July, and the results will be presented.
