Some satellite communication links for tracking, telemetry, and command (TT&C) make use of modern digital modulation and spread spectrum to survive in a stressed or interference-filled environment. As compared to the conventional tracking, telemetry, and command (TT&C) with and without subcarriers [3, 4], the TT&C with Interplex modulation which is a direct modulation on RF carrier, is more efficient, requires less RF power or has higher link margins and permits the use of spread spectrum to survive in stressed or interference environment. Examples will show that TT&C downlink with Interplex modulation performs better than conventional TT&C links in terms of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), channel or service link margins, spur interference mitigation, bit error rate (BER) performance, and with low code cross modulation.
