The development of the national economy has produced a dramatic increase in the number of urban resident cars, thus the contradiction between car park supply and demand is increasingly prominent in crowded business centers or even small and medium cities. Aiming at the imbalance between supply and demand of space parking spaces, difficulty in parking outside, time-consuming parking, etc., an intelligent parking space sharing system is designed in this study, which uses the Internet of Things cloud platform to connect car owners and idle parking space resources to realize resource sharing and generate economic benefits. Specifically, the functions of parking space management (unlocking and locking) and parking space status detection are realized through the license plate intelligent recognition technology, and the information interaction with the background cloud server and the mobile APP provides necessary data information for the system operation. In addition, a platform for parking space rental is provided for users, so that they can rent parking spaces, inquire about the number of idle parking spaces, automatically settle accounts, navigate parking spaces and other functions through the mobile APP. This project can greatly change the low utilization rate of parking spaces in the current society, reduce the problems of traffic jam and parking difficulty caused by finding parking spaces, and bring additional benefits to lessors to achieve win-win results.
