Air transportation is any activity using an airplane to transport passengers or cargo for one trip or more from one airport to another airport or several airports. Aircraft are an important part of air transportation, so they need special attention to ensure the safety of passengers. The number of components in an aircraft that play an important role in creating flight safety requires a mechanism or system that guarantees that all components have gone through a regular maintenance or replacement process. On the other hand, blockchain technology can create a system with high transparency and security. Peer-to-peer validation creates a high level of transparency in systems that use the blockchain. Using a hash function on the blockchain will increase transaction security. So, this research aims to adopt technology in MRO (maintenance, repair, overhaul) aircraft components. Each MRO company is responsible for carrying out MRO activities according to the schedule determined by the aircraft manufacturing company. Every activity of the MRO company is recorded as a transaction on the blockchain network. In the end, passengers or airlines can get real-time information on the condition of the aircraft through the blockchain network. At the end of the paper, an example of blockchain-based data simulation with the Ganache Framework is shown, which illustrates transaction transparency from aircraft MRO.
