The design and performance of a waveguide-fed linearly polarized radial line slot array antenna is described in this paper. The antenna consists of a rectangular waveguide to radial line coupler and radiating elements. Genetic-algorithm is carried out to optimize the coupler and better performance is obtained. Radiating elements, which are the slots etched on the top plate of the radial line, are designed carefully to radiate linearly polarized wave with low side lobe at millimeter wave lengths.
