This paper presents the concept of developing an autonomous system to manage the traffic congestion for Emergency Vehicles (EV) at crossways. The potential of this paper is to cut down the overall response time of Emergency Vehicles in dense traffic.This system utilizes optical sensors to detect EVs approaching intersections, triggering a signal to change traffic lights to green well in advance. By dynamically adapting to changing conditions, the system optimizes routes, reduces overall waiting times at intersections, and enhances emergency response efficiently, leading to improved traffic management and potentially saving lives.Thepotential applications of this research are centred around reducing waiting times for emergency vehicles amidst traffic conditions.
