Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications is one of key to further developing intelligent transport systems. In 2017, the long-term evolution V2X (LTE V2X) was specified as Release 14 of the 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) and has attracted significant attention. In addition to uplink/downlink communications, LTE V2X supports direct communications that are referred to as sidelink (SL). Since SL communications are expected to be used to actualize road safety use cases, its reliability must be investigated. This paper proposes a SL transmission scheme that reduces the rate of packet collisions due to concurrent resource reselection by other sets of user equipment (UEs). In the proposed scheme, a UE that is going to conduct resource reselection in the next transmission performs pre-resource selection, and then notifies other UEs of the resources virtually reserved by that UE. Effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified by computer simulation.
