We present an optical pressure sensor developed for EU FP7 project ASHLEY. The sensor, based on a Fabry-Perot etalon as the sensitive element, is designed to withstand very high pressure, typical of aircraft landing gear. We report the working principle of the sensor and the test results: the prototypes operated up to 350 bara.
