As the number of airports rises, the safety monitoring requirements for airport structures and surrounding supporting facilities during the operational phase are becoming increasingly urgent. SAR as an active ground observation technology, can support ground subsidence monitoring for critical facilities. It can be conducted without interrupting operations at civil aviation transport airports with advantages such as low cost, high point density, non-contact, and elevated capture positions (typically at an altitude of 600 km), leaving no impact on airport operations. With long-term, multi-period captures of the airport and its surrounding environment using SAR technology, we can effectively monitor the vertical subsidence of airport runways, aprons, and terminals. The obtained results will be presented with millimeter-level accuracy through the processing of the acquired multi-temporal data. In this paper, we analyzed the subsidence of facilities at BCIA from 2017 to 2019 using Sentinel-1 images, and the obtained results demonstrate its effectiveness in the application of airport risk prevention.
