Interest in hyperspectral imaging has been increasing in recent years. Although hyperspectral cameras are used in ground platforms, these cameras are mostly used in aerial platforms. The data collected with hyperspectral cameras from the aerial platforms are pre-processed in ground platforms and used for military and civilian purposes. However, with the advancement of the developing technology, it is aimed to preprocess the camera data in real/near-real time on air platforms. To achieve this, Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) based methods have come to the forefront instead of Central Processing Unit (CPU). One of the pre-processing processes is ortho-rectification. In this study, the subject of performing the ortho-rectification process as CPU and GPU based was discussed and performances of these two methods are compared.
