In this paper a full-bridge phase-shift DC-DC converter that has the function of realizing zero-voltage switching (ZVS) is adopted into power electronic transformer (PET), and the functions of every part employing proper control strategy in the PET are analyzed. The simulation results show that this converter can still realize soft-switching in PET and it is appropriate to work in high frequency state to reduce the size and improve the efficiency of the device. Besides, both input current and output voltage of PET are in good shape from the results of Fourier analysis, which proves that PET has the ability of dealing with power quality problems such as voltage fluctuation and grid side harmonic as well as realizing voltage level transformation and energy transfer.
