The integration of wind turbines (WTs) into the grid necessitates an evaluation of the wake effect on the power system network. This paper addresses the detailed analytical assessment of the wake effect on the WTs in the wind farm with the step change in grid frequency. Due to the wake effect, it was observed that downstream wind turbines respond differently to frequency perturbations in the wind farm. Furthermore, the impact of the distance between the turbines has been evaluated on the two parameters. The first is based on the eigenvalues of the system, and the other is the wind farm's reducibility (reduction of the mathematical model) based on the hankel singular values (HSVs) of the model. A linearized model of the system was implemented in the MATLAB environment to study the impact of the wake.
