The transition towards sustainable transportation options is required because of the substantial contribution that conventional vehicles rising emissions which in turn affects the air and climate causing global warming. With emphasis on electric cars (EVs), Hybrid powered and fuel cell EV, this review paper investigates the automotive industry's adoption of green energy technology. Energy-efficient propulsion systems, regenerative braking, and the use of alternative fuels like hydrogen are just a few of the innovations covered. Incorporation of IoT into EVs is examined, emphasizing how it affects battery management, real-time monitoring, and vehicle safety. The study also examines simulation-based safety features intended to improve user security in IoT-enabled systems.
