This article aims to illustrate the design, development, and results obtained by the CanSat Infrared Vision Image (IRVI) carried out by the Red Floyd team according to the guidelines set forth by the CanSat Latin America Challenge 2021 competition. It presents both the approaches for the application of vegetation indices with the intention to promote not only the protection of Colombian ecosystems but to facilitate the access and use of these tools to low level farmers or common gardeners, as well as the approaches of the subsystems related to the operation of the CanSat that make this possible and also that fulfills the requirements of the competition.
