We show, that the linear ac quantum-confined Stark effect in the semiconductor absorber forms a non-Schrodinger soliton in the presence of negative or positive group-velocity dispersion. It is known, that the near-resonance interaction of an ultra-short pulse with excitonic resonance in a quantum-confined semiconductor produces a shift of resonance, which is proportional to the pulse amplitude.
