The paper aims to provide specific and futuristic information to acquire deep understanding of the effective applicability of various types of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in the field of agriculture. Various technological improvements in remote sensing techniques have increased the amount and quality of data obtained by UAVs. These data are used by farmers to interpret various aspects of the growth of plants. UAVs are classified based on their wingspan, weight, propulsion system, number of rotary wings, takeoff, and landing. Wide varieties of application use UAVs and it became a part in your daily life and plenty of research are also going on to improve the endurance and payload capacity for different applications. The three main categories of UAVs are fixed-wing, multi-rotor, and Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) which finds their applications in many areas. This paper formally introduces the classification and various types of UAVs used currently and their applications in agriculture with future advancements.
